Far right conspiracy theorist Alex Jones is back in the trends today, and this time it involves Canada's prime minister instead of the opposition leader. After Jones praised Conservative leader Pierre Poilievre last week and called him quote, "the real deal," Trudeau did not mince words in the House of Commons - calling out Poilievre for not denouncing the endorsement. The opposition leader's office told "Trending Now" last week: "We do not follow the individual you mention or listen to what he has to say." Well, Jones has since seen Trudeau's comments, and today he's firing back.

Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi has expressed his concerns to Prime Minister Justin Trudeau over Canada's handling of the Punjabi independence movement. A statement says Modi spoke with Trudeau about the matter on the sidelines of this weekend's G20 summit in New Delhi. Modi also reportedly called on Canada to work with India on what they deem a threat to the Canadian Indian Diaspora.

The clock is ticking in Georgia for former U.S. President Donald Trump and 18 others indicted there to voluntarily surrender. Trump is now facing his fourth indictment, and the second this month to allege that he tried to subvert the results of the 2020 presidential election. He, along with 18 co-defendants - including Rudy Giuliani and former White House Chief of Staff Mark Meadows - are facing racketeering charges in connection with efforts to overturn Trump's election loss in the state of Georgia. Muddy roads that left tens of thousands of partygoers stranded for days at a festival had dried up enough this afternoon to allow for a mass exodus from the Nevada desert. A late-summer storm turned the annual Burning Man festival into a mud pit over the weekend, after more than half an inch of rain drenched the grounds. The event traditionally culminates in the torching of a large wooden man and temple structure during the final two nights, but the fires were postponed as authorities worked to reopen exit routes by the end of the Labour Day weekend.

A speeding car crashed and exploded at the Canada-U.S. border in Niagara Falls today. Two people were found dead at the scene. Eyewitnesses reported seeing an accelerating car that swerved to avoid another vehicle before hitting a curb - launching it into a U.S. Customs and Border Protection booth. New York's Governor says the investigation is ongoing, but that at the moment, there is no evidence to indicate any terrorist activity. Demonstrations and counter-demonstrations were held across Canada today over the way schools teach about 2SLGBTQ+ topics, and how teachers refer to transgender students. Chants like "leave our kids alone" and "no space for hate" could be heard from both sides of the dueling protests. The action was so widespread that Prime Minister Justin Trudeau chimed in as well. Today's events sparked by changes in gender policies in New Brunswick and Saskatchewan schools.
